So, there we were in 2004, two friends on maternity leave with our first babies commiserating about having to go back to work. We said often, “We should really start a business...”, but alas, our maternity leave ended and we kissed our kids goodbye every morning at the door of their daycare as we made our way to work. 

Jump ahead three years. Here we were again, both having baby #2, "We really should start our own business so we can stay at home and raise our children." So one beautiful summer day we were sitting in the park with our dozing babies and our toddlers running wild, and we decided to team up and start our business. Baby Matters was born. We developed a variety of products selling them at craft shows and a few other small shops. We worked hard and enjoyed the time we were able to spend with the kids as we sewed in the garage or in our kitchens. We were excited about the reactions we were receiving from so may people. 

Then life happened and we both went back to our “real jobs”. We couldn't keep up to our jobs, our families and the production of all the items we had created. We give Baby Matters a rest for a while.  A year later we decided to take a good inventory of our lives. We needed to change and we needed to revive Baby Matters. People love our product. It's time – we both feel it in our hearts. We began to re-evaluate our product line and decided to focus on our Perinatal Pillow since it is unique and in demand. We worked hard at refining the product and its production to the highest standard. 

So, here we are today, two great friends with four great kids and a unique perinatal pillow to offer. Our dream is finally coming true after three years of ups and downs to the excitement we share with you today. Baby Matters is an adventure and we are loving every minute of it!
